Mechanical Clock Reverse-Engineering in CAD

The UMD course that I learned Solidworks in had a final project that required us to reverse-engineer a real-world item, then model it in CAD. My 5-student team each took five or more parts, while I was additionally responsible for the full assembly of the components. Utilizing a parts layout and breakdown of the component structure we found online, we were able to produce an identical mechanical clock in Solidworks that would have been function had it been remade from our drawings. Linked above is the short animation made to show the gears and other components functioning in real-time.
